Introduction
In the modern global economy, technology and innovation are key drivers of sustainable development, economic progress, and international competitiveness. Strong innovation ecosystems bring together governments, academic institutions, industry partners, startups, investors, and supporting organizations to turn ideas into practical solutions, create high-value employment opportunities, and help address complex development challenges.

To promote innovation-led growth within OIC Member States, the OIC-COMSTECH Technovation Academy, in partnership with Pardis Technology Park (PTP), Iran, is organizing the International Capacity-Building Training Program on Technology and Innovation Ecosystem Development. The program will be held from 14–25 April 2026 at the International Innovation District, Pardis Technology Park, Tehran.

This practice-oriented training program is designed for mid- to senior-level professionals and aims to provide knowledge, practical tools, and real-world exposure required to develop, strengthen, and manage innovation ecosystems in national and regional settings. Drawing on Iran’s experience, particularly the successful model of Pardis Technology Park, the program will include expert-led sessions, technology site visits, case studies, and group-based collaborative learning to encourage knowledge sharing among participants from OIC Member States.

Program Objectives

By the end of the training program, participants will be able to:

✔️ Understand the fundamental structure and functioning of innovation ecosystems.
✔️ Develop location-specific strategies for ecosystem development.
✔️ Identify and engage key stakeholders for effective collaboration.
✔️ Design funding, policy, and infrastructure development plans.
✔️ Learn from international best practices and successful innovation models.
✔️ Establish professional networks with innovation ecosystem stakeholders.

Program Structure

✔️ Duration: 10 days
✔️Activities include workshops, technology tours, expert panel discussions, group project work, networking sessions, and cultural exposure to Iranian heritage and society

Benefits

✔️Participation is limited to 20 candidates from OIC member countries and will follow a competitive selection process.
✔️Selected participants will receive:

▶️ Round-trip international airfare.
▶️ Shared accommodation arrangements
▶️ Local transportation including airport transfers and program-related travel
▶️ Daily meals
▶️ Training materials and certificate of completion
▶️ The program is fully funded for selected participants.
▶️ No registration or participation fee is required.
▶️ Visa support will be provided if necessary.

Eligibility:
Applicants should be professionals from OIC member states, especially those working in:
▶️ Science, technology, and innovation policy or administration.
▶️ Management of science and technology parks, incubators, or innovation centers.
▶️ Innovation ecosystem development and consultancy.
▶️ International development organizations.
▶️ Academic and research institutions focusing on innovation policy.
▶️ Startup ecosystem support organizations and investment sectors.
▶️ Applicants must have good English communication skills and be committed to applying the knowledge gained in their home countries.
